Yeovil-based retailer Tri UK is offering a £100,000 reward for any information that can help bring about the return of two vans full of bikes and equipment, which were stolen after the company exhibited at the Triathlon Plus Show at Excel in London.

The stock has been valued at £250,000 by the retailer and Tri UK is offering the reward of £100,000 for information leading to the recovery of the stolen items.

The theft happened in the early hours of Monday, after the company exhibited at the London Triathlon Plus Show at Excel last weekend.

The retailer said it had been overwhelmed by public and industry support following the incident. Alison Boon, a partner at Tri UK told BikeBiz… “After being in the triathlon industry for over 21 years, the sheer response and goodwill being sent to Tri UK has overwhelmed us. All leads are being passed over to the police and Tri UK are still hoping some of these bikes will show up – especially the more rare ones.”

The two vans containing the bikes and equipment were stolen from the Travelodge Excel hotel car park at around 2am. They contained bikes including the latest models from Cannondale, Cervélo, Giant, Neil Pryde, Scott, Van Nicolas and Wilier.

Mavic wheels and Tyr wetsuits & accessories were also on the vans.

Both of the Ford Transit Luton Box type vans are marked ‘Dorset Vehicle Rentals’ with the registration numbers DY12 FJF and DV61 DJE.

If anyone has any information about the vehicles or the stock they can call Tri UK on +44 (0)1935 414142, email ali[at] or telephone the UK police on 101.
